Ciao. Mi chiamo Kristi
–or Kri, as my Italian friends call me. I am an American born with an Italian spirit.
When I was 16, I fell in love with Italy from within. There for the first time through a creative twist of fate, I knew even then that Italy was where I belonged.
Italy isn’t just my favorite place to be; Italian values, language and culture are part of my identity everyday—rather than what I do, it is how I live, what inspires me, what I belong to.
I like to say that, while I am in the U.S. for now, I’m living life with an Italian twist; I speak Italian, have immersed in Italy many times at different periods & seasons, and for diverse lengths of time, and my dream is to relocate soon to a small hilltop village in the south of the country called Ogliastro.

I have a deep passion and love for all things Italian and Italy, and I am deeply committed to showing the beauty and authenticity to people who want to immerse and travel with an open mind/open heart.
I have a beautiful community of Italian friends and chosen family who have shown me la vita Italiana–Italian life–up close and for real many times over. It is with their support that all of this is possible.
Through Italy Inspired, it is my great pleasure and honor to represent authentic Italy and Italian culture with the dignity, respect and devotion they deserve.
È così, Italy Inspired è nata
And like this, Italy Inspired was born.
I never really planned to be an events curator and presenter. But I love people (usually), and I love Italy, and I found, with time, that I just couldn’t keep any of this to myself for longer! I wanted people to be able to experience something authentically Italian that would take them far beyond their imaginings and the stereotypes that live in American consciousness about who and what Italy is.
I brought my ideas to people I know and love, and they encouraged me to go all in on bringing them to a larger audience. And so, little by little, Italy Inspired has grown in size and offerings.
For most things, I work with other small operations so that, when you work with me, you are not only supporting my dream, but also the dreams and work of at least several other places and people! It truly does take a village, and Italians know this better than most.
Whatever brings you here, what awaits you is going to be indimenticabile, unica, squisita—unforgettable, unique and exquisite, and non vedo l’ora, I can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself.
